I'm not sure who came up with this idea, but I love the Mini Pizza Box that you can put 3" x 3" cards in. Here's my take on it.
The pizza box is in the center and the others are 3" x 3" cards. The cards and envelopes fit very nicely inside the pizza box.
The Pizza Box is made using a 5 1/4" x 9 1/2" piece of card stock. Here's basic directions.
- Score Card Stock 1" on both sides of the 5 1/2" side of card stock.
- Score Card Stock at 1", 4 1/4", 5 1/4", 8 1/2" on the 9 1/2" side.
- Cut all the lines on the 9 1/2" side up to the 1" score line.
- Decide which end will be the top and on that end, cut the corners off so you now have a flap.
- Stamp your box now if you desire.
- Place Sticky Tape on all of the small tabs and make your box.
To decorate my Pizza Box I used the Love You Much Stamp Set. Honest, this is easy and what a great gift for someone!
Here are the four 3" x 3" cards that go with the Pizza Box.
Stamp the big heart on Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette Card Stocks. Cut the full heart out of the Riding Hood Red Card Stock and only the inside heart from the Pink Pirouette Card Stock.
To get the heart red, I inked the birds in Basic Black Ink and with my Riding Hood Marker, I just kept running the marker over the black hear and cleaning the tip on scrap paper until the heart was red. Huffed on the ink and voila, birds are outlined in black and the heart is red.
This card, I stamped the scallop piece in Chocolate Chip Ink onto Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red Card Stocks. Used the Scallop Punch on the Chocolate Chip Card Stock, the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and cut the heart out with scissors. The Scallop Piece is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here's the last card. This time I stamped the Scallop Piece in Chocolate Chip Ink twice on Riding Hood Red and once on Pink Pirouette Card Stock. Punch as above. I also used the Scallop Border Punch on the Candy Lane Designer Series Paper. Don't forget to use the White Gel Pen either.
I also put Very Vanilla Card Stock inside the cards for writing. Make a Pizza Box and cards for yourself. It's really fun!
I spent New Year's Day working at my retail job. (I usually like to spend the morning watching the Rose Bowl Parade on TV.) When I got home from work, I prepared our traditional New Year's Meal of King Crab Legs, then played a game of Monopoly with my kids.
